Good ole’ Southern BBQ Sauce
This Healthy BBQ Sauce…..it is good stuff. It is thick, it is rich and taste soooo good. I am a label reader and I sometimes find it hard to find a product that fits all our needs. I go into the kitchen and set up my lab inventing new tricks and recipes that we can all eat.
I was so excited about this BBQ sauce. I added it to baked chicken and it was amazing. I am going to add it to Pinto Beans for a Fork & Knife Burger at the end of the week and it made a great dipping sauce for our Paleo Air-Fried Chicken Wings.
Ingredients:
2 Tablespoons of Grass-Fed Butter
1 Large can of Muir Glen Organic Diced Tomatoes
1 7 ounce can of Organic Tomato Paste
1-2 Tablespoons of Bragg’s Apple Cider Vinegar (more to increase tanginess)
1/3 Cup of Organic Blackstrap Molasses (Iron)
1/3 Cup Coconut Aminos (Soy Free option for Soy Sauce and is gluten free)
1 Tablespoon Garlic Powder (Magnesium, Manganese, Phosphorus)
1 Tablespoon Onion Powder
1 Tablespoon of Chili Powder
1/2 Teaspoon of Sea Salt (Sea Salt has natural elements from the sea- Magnesium, Calcium, Zinc & Iodine)
1 Teaspoon of White or Black Pepper (or Essential Oil)
*You can add in 1-2 drops of Culinary Grade Black Pepper Essential Oil to give your sauce a unique flavor. Be sure to add the Essential Oils into the Molasses and taste with a toothpick before adding into recipe. Remember that essential oils are concentrated and you want to use a brand that labeled safe for consumption like the Vitality Line from Young Living.
Instructions:
- Melt Butter in a medium saucepan then add all other ingredients.
- Whisk to incorporate over medium heat until warm.
- Serve immediately and save the rest for other recipes in your week.
*You can also freeze and use within 4 months for best results.
Enjoy!
